My last place of residence had been rented and I was in my new place and waiting for my coffee to finish brewing. I couldn’t remember my friends phone number but really wanted to have a long conversation with him.

A Helping Hand

July 6, 2010 OR 2011

I was working with a group of co-workers at a retail store when I overheard a new employee talking about a city that I was interested in visiting, Miami. Later on, I asked if she previously lived there and if she liked it, but she didn’t respond. I was planning to move into my new place when my days had been reduced and I brought this to the attention of the supervisor, but the schedule stayed the same. I contemplative moving because it wasn’t worth the hours. I was suppose to meet a man about a job proposition and went downstairs and would be in charge of the finances.

Shelter from the Storm

I walked into a room with cafeteria tables set up with about 7 or 8 homeless people scattered between the tables. They all were wearing heavy coats and scraggly looking. There was a man in the back of these tables at a desk who was overseeing the homeless people and doing paperwork.
